TIP for Club Administrators: Creating a new member

Club Administrators can now set up new players for their club.  Please ensure you follow these steps

  1. Check in the All Players list, to see if the player already exiists with a number.  If they are there, note their number, then go into the Club Player list and click on transfer player.  Search using their computer number and then record the player has moved to your club.  The club they belonged to and the player will be emailed to show the transfer has been actioned.
  2. If you cannot find the player, but know they used to have a number, you can either set them up with a new number or contact the NZB Secretary to resurrect their old number.  You will at the very least have to obtain their last know Grade, Rank and Masterpoints which can be added to a new number
  3. If an overseas player who has not been on the NZB database, create them as new player and set their grade at Open and Rank as Local Master.  The NZB Manual states the forllowing: "All overseas Players, whether visitors or new residents, are graded as Open for Tournament play unless clear evidence to the contrary is provided to the NZ Bridge Secretary. Any review of grade is at the sole discretion of the NZ Bridge Board."
  4. If a new player out of classes, set their Grade as Junior and Rank as Novice
