Disruption at a Bridge Tournament

I would like to request that New Zealand Bridge make a statement regarding the disturbances that marred today's 5A Swiss Pairs at the North Shore Bridge club.

Virtually the entire day was disturbed by loud rock music.

Even with ear plugs, I found it very hard to concentrate on the bridge and the plugs could do nothing to limit the loud bass notes that were shaking my head.

I think that the bridge players who turned up and paid for a day's bridge deserve a full and honest explanation.

Where was the music event taking place?

To what extent did the Bridge Club officers have prior knowledge of the event?
