Eligibilty - Age Criteria for Youth and Senior Events

NZ Bridge has adopted the World Bridge Federation eligibility criteria for participating in Senior and Youth Events as follows:

Senior Events

To qualify as a Senior

From 1^st January 2024, a senior player must have acheived the age of 64 in the year of the event that they is going to play
From 1^st January 2026, a senior player must have acheived the age of 65 in the year of the event that they is going to play

The age is set at 24 years old or younger i.e. the oldest is turning 25 in the calendar year in question. See the table below
