The World Bridge Federation is proud to announce an exciting new global initiative:

The e-Bridge Cup, created in collaboration with BBO and Funbridge – two of the world’s leading online bridge platforms.

This innovative event is designed to reach bridge lovers everywhere, from passionate club players to those who enjoy a casual game at home. For the first time, players of all levels will have the chance to compete globally in an online format, playing individually with and against robots – a unique and modern experience

 

         Key Dates

 

The qualification phase will run from 1^st to 28^th September 2025.

Players who advance will compete in a semi-final and final with generous cash prizes and WBF Master Points awarded to top performers.

But that’s not all!

Players who don’t make it to the semi-final can continue their journey in the e-Cup2, also offering excellent cash prizes. This structure ensures that everyone has a reason to play, especially newer and younger players who are developing their skills and confidence

The E-Bridge Cup isn’t just a competition – it’s a bold step into the future of bridge. With the format of Human vs Artificial Intelligence, it offers elite players a new kind of training experience. It also aligns perfectly with the potential inclusion of bridge in the Olympic ESports Games to be held by the IOC in 2027.

 

 

This event is very important for the future of our game. I need your help to demonstrate that we can bring a lot of people together for an online event. This will greatly help us to validate bridge’s bid for the next Olympic ESports Games which will bring fantastic benefits for all of us.
