New Zealand Open Team at the 2018 Yeh Bros Cup

Follow the New Zealand Open Team at the 2018 Yeh Bros Cup which will take place in Beijing from Sunday 1st July until Thursday 5th July.

Our team is:  Michael Cornell - Ashley Bach

                     GeO Tislevoll - Michael Ware

                     Matthew Brown - Michael Whibley

The event is staged by the Beijing Bridge League and its patron is Mr Chen Yeh from Taiwan.

It consists of Open Teams (Yeh Bros Cup), Swiss Plate and an Open Pairs.

There are 28 teams in the Open Teams including a team from  Australia. There are teams from all continents, strong teams having been invited to take part...

and is a 10 round Swiss of 10 board matches before breaking into knock-out matches. The top 15 teams and the pre seeded number 1 seed, the Yeh team, will advance to the knock-out stage.

BBO coverage of the event starts at 1.30pm NZ time on Sunday 1st July.

The winning four teams in the Open Teams (Yeh Bros Cup) will receive the following prize-money :

                                                                                                                                  US$

                                                                                                                          1st   180,000

                                                                                                                          2nd    48,000

                                                                                                                          3rd     16,000

                                                                                                                           4th      8,000

with a further US$34,000 awarded in the Open Pairs, US$ 14,000 in the Swiss Teams and US$ 6,000 in the Consolation Pairs.
