We must have upset the bridge gods. Once again we are being forced to look at an alternative for Congress.
With the decision by Government to change the “traffic light system” to red from 11.59pm this evening there is no way we can continue with a face to face event, keeping players and staff safe. Therefore with regret the face to face event is being canceled. The quote by Sir Edmund Hillary when he conquered Everest comes to mind.
However we have agreed a revised programme that will allow us to play the event online.
We are just working through the final detail and will be releasing information in the next 24 hours.
We will also set out payment and/or refund details in our next communique. We just ask you to bear with us.
Unlike many other sporting features when they are canceled that is the end of the matter. At least we have an alternative.
Hopefully this early notice will allow you to deal with travel and accommodation arrangements.
