Misinformation
|
West opens the bidding 2H (the pair plays weak 2th). It was not alerted as all members of the club play weak 2's. N and E pass and S doubles
which is followed by three passes.
West makes 4H which gives E/W a top score and S calles the Director.
West claims that the K of S was hidden and that he had opened a weak 2 as he assumed that he had only 10 pts, he only noticed the K after play had started. S argues that he had not X if West had opened 1H. East points out that this had also influenced his bidding as if West had opened 1H he would have entered the auction with his 10 point.
All the other tables are in 4H making.
What would be the ruling

Hi Marion
I think this is clear-cut (shoot me down anyone
)NS were not misinformed about EW methods
Result standsJust bad luck for NS especially a pass by South would have given NS top score
It is not an infraction to accidently violate ones own sides methods
Nor deliberately unless it comes under the "illegal psyche" categoryNick
