Be handy to know if it is Pairs or Teams.

i am happier to be in 3NT playing Pairs.

Either way, finding out if north has a doubleton or shorter heart suit will be problematic, so no easy route to Six Spades.

Ace ask and bash six spades is one answer opposite two Aces, playing in 5NT with my not one ace.

    Pass

I guess to pass as there is no clear forward-going bid. Very tough.

    4S.

    North seems be 6-1-3-3

Otherwise they would bid 3H with a doubleton,  or 3D with 4,  or 4C with 4, over 3C. Seems that 4S must be safer. Not quite so easy at Match points, the opponents may not find the best lead, but seems quite clear at Imps. That might not be the end of the bidding, North might find another bid, but passing certainly is.

Very tough. I think often slam will be good though so I lean slightly to making a move even though there is no clearly sound move. Give partner K to 6 spades a singleton heart and the ace of diamonds and slam is looking possible, if partner had the King of clubs as well which is only 10 albeit perfect points then slam is looking very good. I bid 4D, I can't see how this can be natural so must show slam interest most likely in spades, but possibly hearts. With slam interest in clubs, or clubs and hearts I would bid 4C.

The problem i have is that i cant set the suit.  4C set the suit in C, but its not clear that 4D agrees S, I would like it to as partner can then make a move below 4S.  4S is unlikly to be enough to encourage partner to look for slam since 3D and 3S are avalible below 3NT and partner did not bid them.  Pass

Partner clearly has no more than 4pts in spades so he could have AH and AD or QD. If I use Blackwood we will be in at least 5S or 5NT. If we're playing Gerber we canget out at the 4 level. I think it's worth a try.

I think slam is too problematical. 6Heart or 6Spade could both be good slams depending on partners cards. I can picture partner with KSpade and a GOOD holding in Diamond-small making transportation between the hands difficult.

I bid 4Heart-small as the suit is almost self sufficient and I want any Club-small lead to come into my Club-smallAQ
